How we chose the ten
We looked at how many people read about each age online over a year, and at which ages are taught in England’s national curriculum at Key Stages 2 and 3. The Stone Age opened first: it is a statutory KS2 topic and one of the most-read ages. The Victorian site opened second. Roman Britain is not in the first ten, because forts.im already covers Roman forts.
Independent, not official
Our facts come from English Heritage, the Natural History Museum, Encyclopaedia Britannica and others. ages.im is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of them.
How the network works
The list of sites lives in network.json. This page and sitemap-index.xml are built from it, and only open sites go into the sitemap index. Each age site has a link back here at the top of every page.
